Alright, so Ben 10: Alien Force season two premiere was tonight and was chalk full of AWESOME AMAZINGNESS. The highlights:

5. THE LINES: you gotta love Kevin's "Ribbit" line XD

4. THE ANIMATION: was it just me or was it different from last season? It seemed a bit more tricked out and it moved a lot faster (less of those awkward silences we saw in season one)

3. THE SMACKDOWN: long gone are the days of the 10 minute rule and the 'going Ben' in between aliens. Ben gives Morningstar a well deserved FIVE ALIEN BEATDOWN! He ended the episode even LESS pretty!

2. THE FORESHADOWINGS: with this episode, I'm 99.94% POSITIVE that the AF writers check out fan stuff. A fan on this site (can't remember WHO exactly) mentioned once why Kevin didn't carry small quantities of materials with him so he wouldn't have to depend on the environment and NOW WE KNOW WHY. Also, called the Morningstar connection and the Kevin dad connection in her latest journal (you rock, btw XD)

1. THE LEAN IN: if Gwen and Kevin had actually kissed first episode of season two, that would have just massacred the sexual tension (I know from Scott/Jean Evo experience) for the ENTIRE season. BUT THEY TRIED

In fact, the ONLY thing that upset me was the depth they took Kevin's past to and I'm still trying to figure it out. I thought he was an orphan living on the streets of NYC so why would he still be in touch with his mother? The dad I get but still, why look up to the people that abandoned you? I dunno, maybe we just haven't seen all the cards yet...

Regardless, still GREAT! I'm probably going to be doing a post for each episode .I need to vent off this excitement and no one else LISTENS to me about this >.

I'll also probably post my Gwevin Playlist up soon too. 'White' Part 3 is also high on my priority list of things I must get to rewriting.

Character Bios

Jenna Prant (Future W.I.T.C.H. Universe, story ‘Eclipse of the Heart’ ): Jenna is the daughter of Cornelia and leader of the new generation of Guardians. She prefers machines over magic any day though and she has a few daddy issues (her dad isn't Caleb). She often seeks solace from her hectic duties with her best friend, the Italian boy next door named Lee though she denies any and all romantic feelings she feels for him since she feels she has enough to handle with her Guardian duties.

Jessica Summers (Future X-Men Universe, story ‘The Seatbelt Sign Should Be On At All Times’ and ‘Grandchildren of the Atom’ (to appear as a teenager in later chapters)): Jessica is the daughter of Scott and Jean in another timeline where Jean survives. She’s as talented a field leader as her father but feels her life constricted by the precautions the Shi’ar have placed on her so that she’d never develop Phoenix abilities. She lost her eyesight when she was young due to a head injuryand uses her mutant power of emotion detection as sonar to ‘see’. She broke up her boyfriend prior to this interview and still hasn’t gotten over it.

Vernacula (Present W.I.T.C.H. Universe, story ‘Vernacula’ and koolkame’s ‘Dark Gossamer Wings’ ): Vernacula is the younger sister of Aldarn and only daughter of Akatan. When she was four, she was kidnapped by Phobos for her amazing voice talents and forced to sing for his entertainment until recently when she resurfaced and the rebellion was sent in to rescue her. She’s always had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Caleb, the handsome rebel leader, despite his involvement with Cornelia. She and Valin are good friends and both are hiding out on Earth until the war against Phobos is finished and they both are off Meridian's Most Wanted lists.

Ivan Madrox (Future X-Men Universe, story ‘The Seatbelt Sign Should Be On At All Times’ and ‘Grandchildren of the Atom’ (to appear as a teenager in later chapters)) : Ivan is the son of Jamie Madrox and Rahne Sinclair in another timeline. A little more on the shyer side than his best friend Jessica, the two have been through hell and high water together and have just recently begun to explore their feelings for each other now that Jessica has broken up with her old boyfriend. Ivan is almost always in conflict with Emily Frost, daughter of Emma Frost-McCoy and Hank McCoy, who often uses her animal telepathic abilities on him for fun.

Valin (Present W.I.T.C.H. Universe, story ‘Vernacula’ and koolkame’s ‘Dark Gossamer Wings’ ): Valin is one of a family of six Mogriffs (shapeshifting lizard humanoids) that once were in the service of the Prince Phobos. When she got into a disagreement with Phobos, she denounced her family and fled to the protection of the rebels and disguised herself as a human. She often tries too hard to be human and over does the valley girl personality she adapted from watching old Earth movies. The longer she stays human without reverting, however, the more the façade she puts on becomes more like herself. When Vernacula escapes to Earth, Valin follows to become her official bodyguard. Only Caleb and Verna know of Valin’s secret.

3. What do you think your life expectancy is?
Jenna: Um…wow, awkward…well, if I don’t turn evil and try to take over the universe so I’ll have to be contained, maybe….80?
Jessica: Well, taking into account deaths and resurrections, mistaken deaths, aging in alternate timelines, alien invasions and evil twins, I’d say 30. Tops.
Others: (stare)
Jenna: At least she’s honest
Verna: (cough) Well, I say 50. Which will actually be 80 something for me.
Ivan: I share Jessica’s problem. 30 tops. I’m already on my second life.
Jenna: How does that work?
Jessica + Ivan: Mutant.
Jenna: Ah.
Valin: (cheerfully) Near immortal!

4. What's your nickname if you have one?
Jenna: Jenthen
Ivan: Seriously?
Jenna: There was a miscommunication with a boy.
Valin: OMG! That happens to me SO much!
Verna: Valin? Shut up.
Ivan: Do codenames count?
Jenna: Um…sure.
Ivan: Wolfgang
Jessica: Azra. It’s Shi’ar for ‘Song of Fire’. And my codename’s Mood Ring.
Verna: That’s really cool. I just go by Verna
Valin: OMG! Do I need a nickname?!
Verna: If you don’t have one just say so.
Valin: Oh, OK! None!

5. What is your job?
Jenna: I am keeper of the Heart of Candracar. I save the universe.
Jessica: I lead a team of junior X-Men to help protect the world.
Verna: Well now I feel outclassed. I used to sing for an evil tyrant. Now I wait tables.
Ivan: I’m on Jessica’s team.
Valin: I’m part of a rebellion against aforementioned evil tyrant!
Verna: REALLY outclassed.

6. What is your weapon of choice?
Jenna: Heart of Candracar. Hands down
Jessica: I prefer hand to hand unless absolutely necessary. My powers are defensive.
Ivan: Then superpowers count?
Jenna: Sure.
Ivan: I can turn into a wolf and transfer pieces of my consciousness into other canines nearby.
Verna: That’s wicked!
Ivan: (blushes) I guess…
Jessica: (annoyed) On with the interview…
Verna: Right! Sorry…my voice has magical properties that I can use to replicate others voices or produce a sonic scream. I also sing really well.
Valin: I carry a big honking sword and several vials of potions. I also use my fangs and claws a lot.
Verna: Um…
Valin: And does a hairdryer count? I use that whenever I can too!

7. What are your favorite colors?
Jenna: Red, white, and green.
Jessica: I’m blind so I can’t really say. I liked blue before I lost my sight though…
Verna: Blue for me too. I hate green…
Ivan: Brown.
Valin: BROWN?!
Ivan: Yes….?
Valin: That’s such an ugly color! I love pink! And baby blue.
Verna: (groans)

8. What's your favorite food?
Jenna: Anything Italian.
Jessica: Hot dogs
Verna: Hoogong eggs.
Ivan: ….I really don’t want to know, do I?
Verna: Not really
Ivan: Okay…bacon
Valin: Strawberry lollipops are the best. And raw meat. Just not together

9. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Jenna: (frowning) I’m not allowed to each ice cream because I can’t gain weight. (whispering) But when I sneak it, it’s strawberry.
Jessica: I can’t eat ice cream too much either since I need to stay fit but I love Pistachio flavor.
Verna: Never had ice cream before…
Jessica: You’ve never had ice cream before? Good grief girl, what planet do you live on?
Verna: (confused) Meridian. Why do you ask?
Ivan: I like Rocky Road but the marshmallow always gets stuck in my teeth.
Valin: Raspberry Sorbet!

10. Do you have any enemies?
Jenna: Not yet. I’m new at the whole saving the universe business.
Verna: That makes me feel so much better.
Jessica: My parent’s old enemies keep trying to kill us. Not to mention a new generation of evil mutants our age and the entire Shi’ar Space Empire.
Verna: Well, that doesn’t. I just have Phobos who keeps trying to reclaim me for one of his twisted plots.
Ivan: Emily Frost HATES me.
Jessica: Ivan, she does not.
Ivan: (glaring) She used her telepathy to make me act like a squirrel!
Jessica: That doesn’t mean she HATES you…
Valin: Is it my turn?
Verna: Go ahead.
Valin: My villain is Phobos too. He broke a deal we had so I tried to kill him! He didn’t like that too much…

11. Have you killed anyone?
Jenna: Nope and don’t plan to.
Jessica: Not counting artificially intelligent robots, zippo.
Verna: Why are all the boring people being interviewed in order? I haven’t killed anyone either.
Ivan: I haven’t been put in a situation that required killing anyone.
Valin: Oh! I have! I’ve killed…(counting in her head)…34 people. I have a few more near misses, Phobos included…
Verna: Knew I could count on you, Val.
Valin: Hey! I DO have a nickname!

12. Do you hate anyone?
Jenna: My dad.
Jessica: The Shi’ar. And my ex-boyfriend.
Verna: Phobos, that no-good, tyrannical, bastard.
Ivan: Emily Frost.
Valin: I hate Phobos too! And Cedric! He’s a real ass.

13. Do you love anyone?
Jenna: (too quickly) No!
Jessica + Ivan: (give each other sideways glances, blush, and in unison) No.
Verna: (sighing) Yes! (groaning) But he’s already taken. And he’s my big brother’s best friend.
Jessica: That blows.
Verna: Totally.
Valin: Vance Michael Justin and Johnny Depp! Except when he’s in Edward Scissorhands…

14. What do you do to relax?
Jenna: Practice some Gymnastics or hack a computer.
Jessica: Now that’s a useful talent. I practice in the Danger Room or I build something with my Legos.
Verna: I sing to myself or anyone who’ll listen.
Ivan: I run in wolf form.
Valin: I fly.
Ivan: You FLY?
Valin: Yeah. I shapeshift and fly.
Jessica: You didn’t say you could shapeshift!
Valin: (shrugs) It wasn’t my weapon of choice.

15. Now what are you going to do?
Jenna: Lee invited me over for dinner. His mom’s making her specialty lasagna.
Verna: (teasingly) And you say you don’t love anyone…
Jenna: (huffing) I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Jessica: I’m going down to the Danger Room. I had to miss out on a session to take this interview and I’m SURE the Howlett triplets are demolishing the place.
Verna: (sighing) I have to go wait tables... (perking up suddenly) but this is my shift with Caleb!
Ivan: I’m heading down to the DR with Jessica. Just promise me Emily won’t make me act like a squirrel again…
Jessica: (placing hand over heart) Promise!
Valin: I’m going hunting! I might actually catch a cow this time! I started giggling and I spooked them off last time…or maybe they smelled my raspberry breath…
Verna: Valin, what am I going to do with you?

Today is my two year anniversary writing fanfiction on www. fanfiction .net! I'm so excited! I'm getting myself a cupcake with two little candles and everything!
